United Martial Artist Program Instructors!
Mat Weisfeld
Owner and head instructor of United Martial Artist. Mat has been training in various forms of Martial Arts for 30+ years. The majority of his training was in Taekwondo and American Mixed Karate. During that time Mat traveled the world competing in both point and full contact fighting. In addition Mat has been inducted into a number of Global Martial Arts Halls of Honor. His true passion was in teaching Martial Arts. Eventually Mat took a step back from fighting and training to start a family with his wife Jane. Also to take over his family business of manufacturing turntables, VPI Industries. In recent years Mat returned in full force by opening the school in an effort to bring a positive Karate education back into the community. He also changed his Martial Arts focus and training to Okinawa Gojuryu Kenkyukai. Besides his experience in Martial Arts, Mat is a certified New Jersey Educator. Mat previously taught at Holmdel High School and Brookdale Community College. He is still an active professor at Monmouth University teaching Information Technology and Business classes. |
Bridget
Bridget has been doing martial arts for 13yrs. starting at the age of 25. She began taking Nihon Goshin Aikido and American Mixed Karate. Bridget recently joined the Okinawan Gojuryu Kenkyukai and received her Shodan in 2023. Bridget primarily teaches the kids classes as well has helping out the dojo on the backend and coordinating calendar dates and events. Bridget is working towards earning her Shodan in Toyama Ryu Battodo and is working to begin teaching Kuntaw Kali Escrima (Filipino Martial Arts) at the dojo! She believes all martial arts should be free and open for anyone to try. To find a style they excel at and to respect other styles. When Bridget is not at the dojo or being a mom she is helping at a local animal rescue, reading ElfQuest, watching anime, or playing video games and trying to learn Japanese! |
Adel Soliman
Training since the age of 6, Adel has been with the dojo for almost 20 years. Adel has earned his black belt in American Mixed Martial Arts, Traditional Okinawan Goju Ryu, and a vast knowledge of Martial Arts weapons including Bo, Japanese sword, and nunchucks. Adel also has a strong foundation in grappling after 7 years of high level wrestling and jujitsu training in college. |
Sandy Molon - Zumba Instructor
Hello! I'm Sandy and I live in Holmdel, NJ.I've been a Zumba Fitness instructor since 2011. After my first cancer diagnosis I became passionate about fitness and made it my mission to improve my health but to help others reach their fitness goals as well. I am Licensed in Zumba Basics, Strong by Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Core, Zumba Toning and Zumba Step. My Zumba career highlights include being featured in Zumba Fitness ZLife articles, the Zumba Fitness Party in Pink Campaign and performed in a worldwide Zumba Fitness Livestream Classes. I was also featured and performed in the Zumba Fitness Music Video “Hello World” worldwide premier as well as several Zumba Fitness Promotional Videos. As a two-time Breast Cancer survivor, I am most passionate about my Annual Zumba Fitness Party in Pink charity events held every October since 2010, with all proceeds going to a local organization. I believe anyone can improve their fitness level no matter what their physical condition may be. In 2015 I trained for and competed in my first NPC Bikini Athlete competition at age 51. I am also a licensed Personal Trainer. My mission is to motivate and encourage you towards a more positive, healthy active lifestyle. Come dance with us!!! |
